Scales have been used since the dawn of modern civilization with people trading with each other to exchange goods using simple balance scales. In just the last fifty years or so these mechanical balances were replaced by electronic strain gauge based sensors and LED displays. In the early part of this century, Loadstar Sensors brought to the market an innovative software friendly USB load cell that made it possible to connect a load cell and a scale to a computer easily. From there on further innovations led to wireless connectivity of a few load cells and scales.

In the past four five years, with further lowering of size & cost of sensors, microprocessors and communications technology, we were able to develop the technology to massively network scales to create IoT applications that were simply not possible earlier. These digital smart scales are a key piece of the puzzle that makes StockVUE possible!
